Kocaman Sevgiler,

Vovo !

Dear family and friends, 💛

This year, I’ll be running in the Istanbul Marathon for the first time, supporting the children at Nesin Foundation!

I deeply value Aziz Nesin’s legacy and the Foundation’s long-standing dedication to children. Rather than waiting for things to change, I want to do my part in making that change happen.

The Foundation’s longstanding tradition of education and freedom, carried out with such care, has also changed my life through my own experience at Nesin Villages. I dream of more children and young people having the chance to experience the same, and I’d love for you to be part of this journey with me!

You can support my campaign and help make each of my steps count towards a better future for children. Every contribution matters. 💛

Lots of love,

Vovo!

A Little About Nesin 's 💛

Aziz Nesin (1915–1995) was a celebrated Turkish writer, satirist, and humanist who dedicated much of his life to social justice and equal access to education. In 1973, he established the Nesin Foundation to provide children in need with a home, an education, and the opportunity to grow into independent, socially conscious individuals.

His legacy lives on not only through the Foundation, but also through the Nesin Villages: a unique, collectively sustained educational initiative in the mountains of the Aegean, bringing together mathematics, art, philosophy, and free thought.

The Villages grew from a vision of learning beyond conventional institutions. Students, educators, artists, mathematicians, and thinkers come together to learn, teach, create, and share responsibility for a living, collective space.

I’ve been part of the Nesin Villages for many years, and this experience has profoundly shaped my life. By running for the Nesin Foundation, I hope to help more children and young people access the care, education, and freedom to think for themselves that have meant so much to me.
